being taught the necessary skills to prepare a student for the workforce.
A GREAT education prepares the student
for life.
I did not always want to be an educator. I was always a good student, but I never saw myself on the other side of the teacher desk. I was impatient and focused primarily on my own successes. It was not until my first year of teaching at the middle school level did I have a change of heart.
I never realized what kind of an impact a teacher makes on a student’s life. Giving the student the desire to learn, the desire to become more than what they can be gives more meaning to my existence than my own personal accomplishments. As an educator I learned that it is important to be flexible, approachable and enthusiastic.
